Adirondack Studios (ADKS) seeks an energetic accounting professional to join our growing team. ADKS designs, builds, and installs the scenic and themed environments that you experience in venues ranging from theme parks and casinos to museums, live shows, retail spaces, and public art installations. We have been in business for 50 years, and our work is seen worldwide.
Required Skills:
Manage all aspects of AP. This includes the Purchase Order (PO) to Invoice, as well as Packing Slip match and reconciliation of any discrepancies.
Post all materials invoices through the PO system
Processing checks weekly
Communication with vendors to ensure timely/accurate posting of invoices
Post All Demand Invoices
Prepare AP for payment, cut checks, mail, and/or process online payments
Assist with year-end audit preparation
Scanning/Filing
General Ledger (GL) reconciliations
Travel support and travel reconciliations
Bank reconciliations
Excel trained
Experience in a job cost environment
Preferred Experience:
Four-year accredited degree in accounting
5 plus years of experience
Sage 100, as well as job cost experience, is a plus
Benefits Include:
Personal Time accrual of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked immediately upon hire
Vacation Accrual: 4% of hourly compensation contributed by ADKS, payable quarterly. Accrual begins after the initial 1000 hours worked
Participation in the ADKS 401K plan following 90 days of employment and then at quarterly enrollment periods
Participation in company-offered medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, following 90 Days of employment.
Participation in the company’s Long Term Disability Insurance following 12 months of employment. This is at no cost to the employee.
Participation in the ADK Studios Profit Sharing Plan following 3 years of employment. Employees must work a minimum of 1000 hours per calendar year, and ADKS must reach financial goals
Participation in ADKS 401K plan following 1 year of continuous employment and then at open enrollment.
Location:
This full-time position will be headquartered in Argyle, NY, approximately 1 hour north of Albany and 30 minutes from Saratoga Springs and Glens Falls. Hours are 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with a ½-hour unpaid lunch break.
Range of Rates:
$23.00 - $30.00 per hour + benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, the individual applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and, if applicable, the position's location.
