This is a super-heavy duty log splitter, model SCH816, made by American Woodsplitters, a small company in Honeoye, New York, which builds log splitters to last a lifetime. This one is a "high boy" type, which makes the work easier on the back, and it can handle the work of splitting large logs with ease. By phone, I learned that the current comparable model (AM25HH) sells for $4840. We purchased ours new some years ago, but really it's a workhorse that will perform beautifully for years to come. The splitter is all original, and the owner's manual is included. It has been serviced regularly and is ready to go to its new home. Road tires and a trailer hitch make that easy.
